1) What kind of people
are enlisted at The Fitness Edge Boot Camp?
The Fitness Edge Boot Camp attracts people of all shapes, sizes,
ages and fitness levels! Boot Camp is ideal for: 9 to 5ers' who
need to release stress, mom's that want to lose baby fat, busy
professionals who want to get focused, business owners who need
a boost, actors who need to drop weight for a movie role, College/High
School/Jr. High students who need to get back on the right track
as well as conditioned athletes who want to step it up a notch.
Boot Camp is basically for anyone who wants something different
and wants RESULTS.
2) Do you have to be in good shape before you join?
No. Most recruits have some history of exercise, but it is not
required. In order to determine your level of fitness and your
limits (if any), you will receive a Free Health Screening. We encourage everyone to attend no matter
what your current level of fitness may be. No one will be asked
to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Or, you
may be better suited for personal training. This is one of the
best ways to get your body ready for boot camp. Call us for a rate sheet.
3) What type of exercises will I be doing?
Resistance training and cardiovascular exercise such as Running
(short distances), Push-ups, Sprints, Lunges, Team-building events,
Jumping Jacks, Jump rope, Kickboxing, Yoga, Mat work, Stability
Ball/Medicine Ball training, Stretching, Cone drills, Obstacle
courses, Search and Find Missions and whatever else it takes to
distract you from the fact that you're getting a great workout!
Every day will be a completely different workout – never
predictable – never, ever boring and always an adventure!
4) What will I get out of attending The Fitness Edge Boot Camp?
Our MISSION is to provide you with an education like never before.
We address the MENTAL aspects of fitness on a DAILY basis. For
example - you can have the best gym membership in town and the
healthiest foods in your kitchen. But, if you don’t have
the mental focus – you’re not going to use either
one! Whether you stay with us for 6 weeks or 6 months, your “ammo
box” will be filled with the CORRECT information you need
to succeed at weight loss, improving your muscular composition,
increasing your running speed or just getting rid of the self
limiting behaviors that have held you back in the past.
5) What happens after the initial
8 weeks of Boot Camp?
You will be measured, photographed and tested to show your progress
and success in the program. You may stop here or go on to our
Basic Training Conditioning Program (which builds upon what you
were able to accomplish during boot camp) by attending camp 3
or 5 days a week for as many courses as you like. During each
course level, we will increase the intensity while encouraging
you to go further and achieve more in your fitness program. Each
class will have a graduation ceremony in which awards and certificates
will be handed out.
6) What kind of results can I expect
to get from this program?
Getting results comes from consistency and focus. It takes at
least 6 to 12 weeks to make a difference in your body composition
- period. Non-compliance is the ONLY thing that stands in your
way of getting results. Are you going to make up excuses on why
you can’t eat healthy or why you don’t have time to
work out? Or, are you going to put forth the effort it takes to
get results… Our most successful “LOSERS” are
those whose attendance is perfect, whose eating habits have changed,
whose negative thoughts have perished and whose determination level
- is flying off the charts. If you want results like these - then GET

7) This program sounds like something
my body & mind really needs. However, my budget is really
tight – do you have payment plans?
You can get started with a deposit as low as $191.66. Or we can make other arrangements if needed. And, we can spread your payments out every two weeks. 8) Why is it a military themed workout?
It's no secret that most people need a "kick in the pants",
a push, a boost or whatever it takes to get them to start or stick
with an exercise program. That is where the military discipline
comes in. There is no screaming or "downgrading" in
our camp, just encouragement and praise mixed with mentally and
physically challenging programs. It's camaraderie; team building
skills, obstacle courses, nutrition counseling and more.
9) Why should I attend The Fitness
Edge Boot Camp over other exercise programs?
Don’t be fooled by cheap imitations. The Fitness Edge Boot

10) Do I need to bring anything
with me to Boot Camp?
Yes. You will need a water bottle, exercise mat and two sets of
hand weights. We will recommend the appropriate amount of weight
for you once we see your performance at the health screening.
You may purchase these items at a discount through us or get them
on your own.
11) What do I need to wear to Boot
Camp?
You should wear layers of comfortable, athletic clothing appropriate
for the time of the year. You should also invest in a good pair
of running shoes. All Fitness Edge Troopers get a discount at Runners Lane in Santa Clarita - ask us for details. The right shoe will make the difference in loving or hating
the running experience. Please leave all jewelry and other valuables
at home.
12) How many people are in each
Boot Camp?
The number of people in each course varies. We purposely break
the group up into smaller groups to give you more individualized
attention. No one will get away with incorrect form, bad posture
or hiding Twinkies and Ding Dongs in their backpack!!
13) I do not like to run. Does this
program involve a lot of running?
Our program includes various types of conditioning exercises along
with running (short distances). However, our program is as challenging
as you want it to be. We encourage everyone to go at his or her
own pace. We'll give you a "push" when we feel you are
ready. Although running is one of the best ways to burn calories,
strengthen your cardiovascular system and to lose inches -- you
can walk, fast walk, sprint or jog anytime you need to and still
get great results. Being that we cater to people of all fitness
levels, we'll design exercises for you that wont make you feel
like the "back of the pack."
14) I'm not sure I can find the
time to make it to boot camp so early in the morning. I have kids,
I have to get my spouse off to work, I work till late at night
and the list goes on and on. Any advice?
As the Commander of The Fitness Edge MIND AND BODY Boot Camp,
I have one word to say to you: SABOTAGE!! You can give yourself
100 reasons why it can't be done when in fact, there are about
2000 reasons why it CAN be done and why it will be the best thing
you've EVER done for your mental and physical health! I'll ask
you one question: HOW BAD DO YOU W-A-N-T IT? Once you make YOURSELF
the first priority on your "to do list" -- everything
else will fall into place. You also might be better suited for our night program - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
15) Being that Boot Camp is outdoors, what happens when it rains?
Boot Camp is held rain, sleet, snow or shine! We want you to get
into the habit of NOT letting the weather dictate if you can work
out or not. Lucky for us, living in Southern CA allows us the
pleasure of not having to worry about rain and other storms too
often. However, you can rest assured that you'll never be standing out in the pouring rain - we will always have you under shelter. And, if for some crazy reason you choose not to work out on a rainy day - you can always make up your missed days.
16) Where is boot camp located and
how much does it cost?
The secret location of your "Get Fit Mission" will be disclosed at the Health Screening. However, we can tell you that both our am and pm camps are centrally located at parks in the Santa Clarita Valley of California. Click here to see our current specials.
17) I currently exercise about 5
days a week. Will this be challenging enough for me?
Let’s put it this way - our Instructors have trained US
Marines, Navy Seals, SWAT, Police, Firemen as well as Tri-athletes.

Is this program for adults only?
Depending on the maturity level of the young adult,
they may be eligible to workout in the adult boot
camp as long as a guardian is in the program too. We encourage
parents to workout with their children. It is a great bonding
experience!
19) What happens if I have to miss
a few days due to vacation/being sick?
You’ll be happy to know that you can make up ALL of your
missed days! You may make them up in advance or, during the following
boot camp course.

Can you join after a course has already started?
Yes. The program is designed so that you can pop in during any week of the program. However, you’ll get the most out of this program by starting with the other new recruits. You are allowed to make up any days that you might miss by starting the program late.
21) What kind of price break do you offer if you re-enlist again?
The ‘Deal of the century” is when you enlist for one
year. You will continue to get the best of a personal trainer, a nutritionist and a life coach for an entire year - for only $187.00 a month. You can't afford not to take advantage of this offer!
22) When is the best time to join boot camp? When are your rates the lowest? Anytime of the year or anytime of the month is a great time to join! Those who wait till all conditions are just right won't do anything. The best thing to do is "strike while the iron is hot!" If you are mentally set to join but another boot camp doesn't start for a few weeks - it's ok. Call us - join anytime! Another great tip is to join with a friend and get anywhere from $50.00 - $75.00 off! Keep checking back for new specials – they change every year.

1) How many more years are you going to let go by before you do something about your health?
2) How many of your favorite sports and acitivites are you missing out on because you are not in shape like you used to be?

6) How many more crazy diets, pills and potions are you going to waste your money on before you sit down with an expert who'll show you the right foods to eat, the foods to stay away from as well as healthy recipes and meal plans?
7) How many more self help books are you going to buy hoping to find some revelation on why you can't stay focused, on why you can't stop eating fattening foods, on why you can't follow through on any of your goals and tasks and so on?
